The Smoothboard Dongle Pack consists of a box containing the Smoothboard USB Dongle and Smoothboard Dongle Edition CD. The Smoothboard Dongle Edition can be launched directly from the CD or installed on the computer. To activate the software, just plug the Smoothboard USB Dongle into your computer's USB port.
At the moment, Smoothboard Dongle Edition is only available in English.
The Smoothboard Dongle Pack is great for users who intend to use Smoothboard on different computers but only one at a single time. Instead of the ordinary Smoothboard Single License which is tied to a specific computer, the Smoothboard USB Dongle is licensed to be run on different computers.

Teachers can also sign-out the Smoothboard Dongle Pack as the Smoothboard USB Dongle and the CD are conveniently placed in a hardcover box. The Smoothboard Dongle Pack can also be placed in classrooms where teachers share the same hardware such as the IR pen and Wiimote.
The Smoothboard USB Dongle contains the license to use the Registered version of Smoothboard. Therefore, you are able to use the Registered version on any computer as long as the USB dongle is plugged in to the computer. If the USB dongle is unplugged, Smoothboard will run in Unregistered mode until the USB dongle is plugged-in again.
Note: Smoothboard USB Dongle is not a Bluetooth Adaptor. Therefore, you may need to get a Bluetooth Adaptor if your computer does not have a built-in Bluetooth Adaptor. The Bluetooth Adaptor and IR pens can be purchased from our resellers.
No. As the license is tied to the Dongle, you will not need to activate the software via the Internet. You will just need to plug in the Smoothboard USB Dongle into your computer and the Registered version of Smoothboard will work without any Internet connection.
The Smoothboard Single Computer License can only be activated on a single computer. However, the Smoothboard USB Dongle can be used to run the Registered version of Smoothboard on any computer as long as the Smoothboard USB Dongle is plugged into a USB port. Therefore, the Smoothboard Dongle Edition is more suitable for users who intend to use the Smoothboard software on different computers. If only a single computer is used, you can purchase the Smoothboard Single Computer license from here.
No. The Smoothboard USB Dongle contains the Smoothboard license and thus it would be your responsibility to ensure that the Dongle is kept safely.
Yes. We will provide a one-to-one exchange with the Smoothboard USB Dongle if the device is found defective within 30 days upon receiving the dongle. This warranty is only covered for manufacturing defects and not for damage caused by improper use or storage. All shipping costs shall be borne by the user.
